All new construction permitted through the South County Fire Authority is reviewed and inspected by the Community Risk Reduction Division to ensure proposed construction projects, building improvements, remodels, and additions to existing structures meet applicable fire and life-safety requirements per the adopted California Fire Code and City/County Ordinances. All new installations and all modifications to fire protection and life safety systems are reviewed and inspected by the Community Risk Reduction Division to ensure that the installation or modifications meet applicable fire and life-safety codes and standards.
SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS
South San Joaquin County Fire Authority requires construction plans and documents to be submitted electronically in Portable Document Format (PDF) for all projects. Additional submittal requirements are listed on the online application.
South San Joaquin County Fire Authority's online application portal is only for deferred submittals such as

Please note Building permits and resubmitted documents associated with Building permits are still to be submitted to the respective Building Departments (City of Tracy or San Joaquin County).

PAYMENT
All credit/debit card transactions will incur a non-refundable convenience fee of 2.55% for transaction processing or a minimum fee of $1.95 on the transaction amount. All electronic check transactions will incur a non-refundable convenience fee of $1.75 for transactions up to $50,000, additional fees may be imposed for higher amounts.
